Beautiful rare OLD large size AUTHENTIC AKOSO, powder glass with trailed decoration , African trade bead.
Akoso were made by the people of Krobo, Ghana, West Africa.
Even the Venetian bead makers tried to copy AKOSO beads by producing reproductions !
The bead is in very good condition ( minor decoration loss, see photos ).
The size of the bead is 23 X 17 mm.
Used in the African trade from late 1800's to early 1900's.
