Introducing a stunning strand of NEW translucent powder glass African trade beads, masterfully crafted by the skilled artisans of Kroboland in Ghana, West Africa. These beads beautifully imitate the style of old Venetian glass trade beads, embodying the rich traditions of African craftsmanship.

- Bead Diameter: Approximately 13 mm
- Strand Length: Approximately 21" (53.5 cm)
Each bead is 100% handmade using eco-friendly techniques. Recycled glass bottles and other discarded glass items are crushed into a fine powder. The powdered glass is then poured into molds and fired in a traditional kiln to create these exquisite beads. These translucent beauties are perfect for jewelry making, home décor, or simply as a unique collector's item.
The Krobo people of Ghana are renowned for their bead-making expertise, a tradition that has been passed down for generations. These beads not only showcase their artistic talent but also symbolize the vibrant trade networks that have long been central to African culture. Trade beads like these were historically used as currency and storytelling elements, making them an enduring symbol of African heritage and global connections.
YOUR STRAND WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE STRAND SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
