These exquisite Venetian compound drawn glass beads also known as Venetian Seed beads, Conteria Beads, or Old Venetian Drawn Beads were crafted in Venice for the Africa trade in the early 1900s. Venetian glassmakers produced these tiny drawn trade beads by pulling a heated glass cylinder into slender rods and slicing them into uniform beads. This technique imparts remarkable consistency in size and finish. Over a century later, they remain prized for their authenticity, vibrant colors, and enduring value among collectors and artisans alike.
