Akunitan cloth of the Great Ghana Ashanti Africa 1

Large Ashanti Akunitan ( cloth of the great ) worn only by chiefs and kings.

The size of the cloth is 120"x 84'' ( 304 cm x 213 cm ).

The cloth dates from the 1960s.

This Akunitan cloth was made on woolen fabric.

The designs were made using HAND EMBROIDERY and looks spectacular! with many symbols and proverbs of the Ashanti tribe.

A Sankofa bird, lion, Elephant, an Airplane, Birds other animals and other African symbols.

The cloth is in very good condition with only some wear due to age and usage.
