Each bead is crafted using traditional Krobo techniques, where recycled glass bottles and other glass materials are ground into fine powder, placed into molds, and then fired in a firewood kiln. This sustainable process not only upcycles materials but also preserves a centuries-old African bead-making tradition.
These beads, often referred to as trade beads, played a significant role in African commerce, cultural expression, and adornment.
