A beautiful necklace handmade from different NEW powder glass African beads, IMITATING old Venetian FANCY trade beads and NEW Ashanti / Akan brass beads strung on a wax cord.
The brass beads are made in the Ashanti region (Kumasi - Ghana, West Africa) using the Ancient "Lost wax" technique. A mold is prepared for each bead that is destroyed in order to remove the bead! For each bead a hand made mold from wax is needed!
The glass beads (Krobo land - Ghana, West Africa) are made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then into molds in order to create this nice looking beads.
The necklace is 29" ( 74 cm ) long ( of beads ). The sizes of the beads are 8 - 22 mm in diameter.
All beads are 100% handmade.
YOUR NECKLACE WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE ONE SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
