A beautiful necklace handmade from NEW translucent powder glass African beads and NEW Ashanti / Akan brass beads strung on a 1.5mm korean cord.
The brass bead is made in the Ashanti region ( Kumasi - Ghana, West Africa ) using the Ancient "Lost wax" technique. A mold is prepared for each bead that is destroyed in order to remove the bead! For each bead a hand made mold from wax is needed!
The glass beads ( Krobo land - Ghana, West Africa ) are made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then into molds in order to create this nice looking beads.
The necklace is 21 1/4" ( 54 cm ) long ( of beads ). The sizes of the beads are 10 - 12 mm in diameter. The size of the long brass bead is pp. 28 X 10 X 7 mm.
All beads are 100% handmade.
YOUR NECKLACE WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE ONE SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
