About the Colors

Traditional Craftsmanship

The Krobo glass beads are created in Ghana’s Krobo region by crushing recycled bottles into fine powder, placing it into molds, and firing it in a firewood kiln. This traditional powder glass technique produces beads with rich, natural colors and a velvety texture.

The Ashanti brass beads are meticulously handcrafted in Kumasi using the ancient lost wax casting method. Each bead begins as a wax model, encased in clay, then filled with molten brass. Once the mold is broken to release the bead, it can never be used again, ensuring that every brass bead is truly one-of-a-kind.
