Cowrie shells historically have been used as currency in several parts of the world, as well as being used in jewelry and ceremonial purposes.
The glass beads ( Krobo land - Ghana , West Africa ) are made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then into molds in order to create this nice looking beads.
The sizes of the glass beads are 10 mm - 11 mm in diameter.
The extension chain ( stainless steel ) makes this necklace adjustable from 18 1/2" to 21 1/4" ( 47 - 54 cm ).
All glass beads are 100 % handmade.
