Each bead is crafted entirely by hand using a meticulous process that highlights the artistry of the Krobo people:
- Collection & Preparation: Recycled glass bottles and other materials are gathered, cleaned, and broken into fragments.
- Molding: These fragments are carefully placed into clay molds to define their shape and size.
- Firing: The molds are heated in a kiln at high temperatures, fusing the glass fragments while preserving their individual colors and translucency.
- Finishing: After cooling, the beads are polished or refined to ensure smooth surfaces.
