Handmade African Beaded Bracelet - Krobo Glass Trade Beads

Experience the artistry of Ghana with this handmade beaded bracelet, crafted by the skilled artisans of Kroboland. Inspired by antique Venetian fancy glass trade beads, each bead is meticulously created using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

  • Inner Circumference (Unstretched): Approximately 7" (17.5 cm)
  • Fits Wrist Size Up To: 8" (21 cm)
  • Bead Size: 10 - 13 mm in diameter

The beads are crafted from recycled glass bottles and other glass materials, crushed into a fine powder and placed into molds. These molds are then fired in a traditional firewood kiln, resulting in the vibrant and unique beads that define this exquisite beaded bracelet.

YOUR BRACELET WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE BRACELET SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).

The Art of Krobo Beadmaking

The people of Krobo in Ghana are renowned for their intricate bead-making techniques. Using age-old methods, they transform recycled glass into stunning beads, each one a testament to their craftsmanship. These trade beads have been an essential part of African culture for centuries, used for adornment, ceremonies, and as a form of currency.
