These African trade beads are individually handcrafted. The Krobo glass beads are produced by skilled artisans in Krobo Land using a traditional technique where recycled glass bottles and other glass materials are crushed into powder. This powder is then poured into hand-shaped clay molds and baked in outdoor kilns, creating beautifully textured and colored beads. No two are exactly alike, making each piece one of a kind.

The brass beads are crafted in the Ashanti region of Ghana using the ancient lost wax casting technique. Each bead begins with a detailed wax model that is covered in clay to form a mold. Once the mold is heated and the wax melts away, molten brass is poured in. The clay mold is broken to reveal a unique bead  no molds are reused, ensuring every piece is individually made with care and tradition.
