Uncommon Translucent Krobo Glass Beads, 9mm, 20" Strand

Uncommon Translucent Krobo Glass Beads, 9mm, 20" Strand

Introducing a beautiful and rare strand of translucent powder glass beads, crafted by the skilled artisans of Kroboland in Ghana, West Africa. These beads are inspired by the intricate designs of antique Bohemian/Czech flower glass trade beads, blending history and artistry into every strand.

Each strand measures approximately:

  • Length: 20" (51 cm) of beads
  • Bead Diameter: 9 mm

The exceptional translucent finish of these beads and their uncommon color make them a standout addition to any jewelry or bead collection. Perfect for creating unique necklaces, bracelets, or other craft projects.

The Krobo people of Ghana have been creating beads for centuries using an eco-friendly and sustainable process. Recycled glass and bottles are crushed into a fine powder and poured into handmade clay molds. This powder is then fired in traditional kilns, fusing the glass to form vibrant, durable beads. These beads carry cultural significance, symbolizing wealth, status, and historical trade across Africa.

YOUR STRAND WILL BE IDENTICAL TO THE STRAND SHOWN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH (GIVEN NORMAL VARIATION SINCE THESE BEADS ARE ALL COMPLETELY HANDMADE).
