History & Value:
These beads are known as Conteria beads or Old Venetian Drawn Beads. Made in Venice, each bead was formed by drawing molten glass into ultra‑fine tubes, then cutting into uniform tiny cylinders. This traditional technique, perfected centuries ago in Murano workshops, produced some of the smallest and most sought‑after seed beads in trade history. Today, these rare 2 mm beads carry great collector value due to their age, condition, and remarkable precision.
Own a piece of bead‑making history: authentic Old Venetian Conteria beads, made in Venice and traded across continents. Perfect for collectors, jewelry artisans, and history lovers alike.
