The creation of these Krobo fused recycled glass beads involves a fascinating and intricate process:
Collection and Preparation: Artisans collect and clean small size glass beads. These are then arranged in molds.
Molding: The small glass beads are placed into clay molds that determine the shape and size of the larger beads.
Firing: The molds are fired in a kiln at high temperatures, fusing the small beads together to form larger, opaque beads with unique patterns and colors.
Finishing: After cooling, the beads are removed from the molds and polished to smooth out rough edges.
