Vintage Ashanti / Asante Hair Pin made from brass using the lost wax technique from Ghana.
The size of the hair pin is 2 7/8" ( 74 mm ) in length and is in very good condition with some wear due to age and usage.
Asante carried most of their transactions using gold dust and this weights were used as known mass for the owner.
